another blankie

another blankie

I found some really charming sweaters last week, and emboldened by my recent success with front panels, I added two complete squares from the fronts of two garments. The pink-red square and that cute grosgrain ribbon edging and wool covered buttons...it puckered so nicely I just had to include it. And the wool crewel accents on the navy blue sweater were crying out to be included. I removed the zipper from the navy one, and sewed the enclosue shut. The red square relies on the buttons to keep still.

I also added a small light blue ribbon embellishment around the perimeter...very easy to add with zigzag.
